Shortest distance between two points

Is not a line. That only applies in a 3D world. The shortest distance between two points is a wormhole (M.Kaku)

Life flashes on Vocalizing by Gita Gutawa

In a short song, my life flashed before my eyes. How hard it was for us to cross this line, to bash ourselves back into the same jungle everybody had 5 years ago. How awful was I that I needed 5 years to get here? Maybe some part of me is better prepared than some people, but I couldn’t help wondering why. Poor G, she had to be there when it all happenned.

Now I understand some part of it, why it was comfortable for most people to stay employed.

Little Indira month 6

On the upside, BAP gets to hear G's kids (all of her sister's kids are hers by law of Minang) in the morning, 2 houses away.

rp. 1/kb murah?

Menjelang tidur aku menghitung lagi.

Sari (http://siperibaikhati.multiply.com/journal/item/4) mencantumkan ciri-ciri anak 90an.

Menjelang Little Indira

Menjelang Little Indira:
Still crossing my finger untuk Pancasila, Ya Wa.
Penelitianku yang terbengkalai. Terakhir kali bertemu Pak Adler Manurung, belum berhasil menentukan item kuesioner.
So far, membantu menerjemahkan Bodie's Investment untuk Erlangga (thanks, Bim) membantuku mengingat2 kembali bahan kuliah dulu.
Rumah sakit: So far, rumah sakit Asih kelas II menarik bagi kami. JMC juga nggak begitu mahal. Sayangnya, Harapan Bunda Kramat Jati justru mahal.
Something I miss are friends to share this with.

Promise will be more attentive. Anyway, here are the rules:

Tag Rules:

1.

Each blogger must post these rules
2.

Each blogger start with random facts or habits about themselves
3.

Blogger that are tagged need to write on their own blog about eight things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4.

Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged to read your blog.

Here goes:
1. A few minutes after I got home after birth, I almost choked myself to death. Appearantly a nurse didn't get all the fluid inside me. Dad saved my life by sucking the remaining fluid from my nose with his mouth. He was panicked.

2. My dad was erecting a TV antenna when the 7 meter antenna pole fell and landed less than a meter from me, a little boy wandering around daddy with tools.

3. Growing up in a family of 4 boys, a girl's attention was precious. Everytime a little a girl was around, these 4 boys would literally be flying in the air trying to grab the attention.

4. 4 boys. Depending on the political situation, we classified ourselves by (Kalau lagi berantem, kita suka ngebagi-bagiin ke dalam kelompok tertentu):
a. Besar Kecil (Big & Small) Big is boy # 1 (me) and #2.
b. Ganjil Genap (Odd & Even) Even is boy # 2 (Hendra) and #4 (Andri).
c. Roti Isi (Bread & Filling) Filling is boy # 2 and #3 (Rio).
We had time on our hands

5. Hendra cracked my head twice, I cracked his twice. He did mine with sheer cunningness, mine was brute force.

Sekarang giliran:

1. Arien (http://ariencantiq.multiply.com/)
2. Jubing (http://jubingfantasy.multiply.com/)
3. Mia (http://miapuspita.multiply.com/)
4. Sigit (http://mbonk.multiply.com/)

Agi.. Agi

Some days ago a person regularly called my phone, insisting on talking to someone else, a person called Agi. on the first and second call, i tried to convinced her. But this person was hard-headed, and that's why I enjoyed talking to her. On our last attempt, I told her to meet with Agi and get his phone number.
+Nomernya berapa sih?
-9200....
+Kamu terakhir kali nelpon Agi kapan (jangan2 nomer gue curian lagi.. tapi kan gue beli baru?)
-Ng, teman gue sih minggu lalu katanya nelpon Agi.
+Berarti kamu belum pernah nelpon Agi?
-Belum (mulai nggak pd)
+(Kasihan, tapi jengkel) Lain kali kamu ketemu Agi, tanya nomer telponnya ya
-Iya deh (koin abis) udah dulu ya
+Ya (udah dulu? aneh banget)
This morning, she called me (for the last time?) to "report" that she DID get Agi's number wrong. Mind you it was NOT EVEN CLOSE to my number!!
-9200nya sudah bener sih, tapi belakangnya..
+Jauh amat (nggak mirip banget sama nomer gue?!)
-Iya gue salah denger.

Suara cowo, katanya.

Jangan-jangan si Agi, lagi.

What women say and mean

Not sure where I got this, but it is hilarious:

1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up .
2.) Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
3.) Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
4.) Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It !
5.) Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing.
(Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)
6.) That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
7.) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.
8.) Whatever : Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU!
9.) Don't worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times , but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

In the world of marriage/romance, one single rule applies to the men:

Make the woman happy. Do something she likes and you get points. Do something she dislikes and points are subtracted. You don't get any points for doing something she expects.
That's the way the game is played.

Here is a guide to the point system:

You pummel it with iron rod (+10)
It's her pet (-10)

HER BIRTHDAY
You take her out to dinner (0)
You take her out to dinner and it's not a sports bar (+1)
Okay, it's a sports bar (-2)
And it's all-you-can-eat night (-3)
It's a sports bar, it's all-you-can-eat night, and your face is painted the colours of your favourite team (-10)

A NIGHT OUT
You take her to a movie (+2)
You take her to a movie she likes (+4)
You take her to a movie you hate (+6)

She realizes this is because you have fallen asleep (-10000)

hehehe, see guys? gals are not that difficult to understand

Hehehe..

Surprise

Menurut Wikipedia:
"Surprise
is a brief emotional state that is the result of experiencing an unexpected event. Surprise can have any valence; that is, it can be neutral, pleasant, or unpleasant.
..
Spontaneous, involuntary surprise is often expressed for only a fraction of a second. It may be followed immediately by the emotion of fear, joy or confusion."

Today's surprise was exhausting. I could not fathom why what happened happened, but Little Indira kicked my hand, and all my trouble went away. Great timing, because nobody was available. I guess, in most situations, placebo is the best medicine.

Guru (dari Sari)

Posting Sari mengenai gurunya lucu sekali. Enough said, Bu Ross punya bisnis yang stabil.
Tapi setiap hari, dari pagi hingga petang, Bu Ross selalu naik turun angkutan umum, mengajar SMP, SMA, Universitas Indonesia. Kenapa? Karena beliau menikmati mengajar.
Few people have passion to teach. I do. I can't change a whole world for the better, I would stick to doing my little contribution to others by sharing something I know for their better.

Minggu Ke-20

Selamat, bayi kita sekarang sebesar pisang:

How your baby's growing:

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom, and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, we use measurements taken from the top of the baby's head to her bottom — known as the "crown to rump" measurement. After that, we use measurements from head to toe. This is because a baby's legs are curled up against her torso during the first half of pregnancy and are very hard to measure.)

Katanya seharusnya sih naik 5 kilo, kurang lebih sih begitu:

How your life's changing:

You've made it to the halfway mark — Congratulations! The top of your uterus is at the level of your belly button now, and you've likely gained about 10 pounds. Expect to gain an average of about another pound each week from now on. (If you started your pregnancy underweight, you may need to gain a bit more; if you were overweight, perhaps a bit less.) Make sure you're getting enough iron, a mineral that's used primarily to make hemoglobin (the part of your red blood cells that carries oxygen). During pregnancy, your body needs more iron for your developing baby and the placenta, and to keep up with your expanding blood volume. Iron-rich foods include lean red meat, poultry, fish, lentils and other legumes, spinach, and iron-fortified cereals.

Surprising Facts: Getting a good night's rest

It may become more difficult to sleep through the night as your pregnancy continues, thanks to some obvious and not-so-obvious changes taking place in your body. You may be surprised to find that:
• You start snoring for the first time in your life, thanks to hormones that cause your nasal passages to swell and partially block your airways. What to do: Sleep on your side and elevate your head slightly.
• Heartburn and indigestion can make it extra uncomfortable to lie down in bed. What to do: Try sleeping semi-upright in a comfy recliner or propped up with pillows on the sofa.
• Your legs cramp so painfully that you're jarred out of a deep sleep. This happens because your leg muscles are protesting against the extra weight they're carrying around. What to do: Ease the cramp by straightening your leg, heel first, and gently flexing your toes back toward your shins.
• You toss and turn all night trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. What to do: Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs or using a contoured maternity body pillow.
• You become hot and sweaty in the middle of the night. It's common for pregnant women to run a little warm thanks to shifts in your metabolism, hormones, and weight. What to do: Keep your bedroom cool and strip down to the bare essentials — which may include a maternity bra and a maternity belt to help support your growing breasts and belly, and perhaps some socks if only your feet are chilly. Keep slippers and a snuggly bathrobe handy for those nighttime trips to the bathroom.
• Getting out of bed is harder than ever! What to do: Roll over onto your left side and "tip" yourself up, feet first. When your legs touch the floor, use your arms to push yourself into a sitting position on the bed. Then stand up.
Wear sleepwear made out of a natural, breathable fiber like cotton. Avoid synthetics, which trap moisture next to your skin and can leave you damp and chilled.
• Sometimes even though you're exhausted, you just can't sleep. So do you toss and turn waiting for sleep to catch up with you — or try to tire yourself out instead?

Daddy Diary:
Nggak terlalu banyak lagi surprise. Kita sekarang fokus pada persiapan untuk life with a baby. Decided to approach a house.
